SUMMARY:Senior Affairs Commission (SAC) – Healthy Aging Standing Committee Meeting
DESCRIPTION:The Healthy Aging Committee is a standing committee of the San Bernardino County Senior Affairs Commission (SAC). Its mission is to promote health\, wellness\, and active living among older adults and the broader community. \nThe committee brings together representatives from the SAC\, DAAS-PG\, the Department of Public Health\, healthcare providers\, legislative partners\, and other community stakeholders to share information and collaborate on healthy aging initiatives. \nThe committee meets regularly to: \n\nAdvise the SAC\, DAAS-PG\, and partners on issues related to health and wellness for older adults\nSupport the development of new health-focused programs and improvements to existing services\nIdentify and help address health-related challenges in the community\nPromote public awareness through a monthly “Did You Know?” publication that shares helpful tips and health education\n\nBy fostering collaboration and raising awareness\, the Healthy Aging Committee works to support older adults in living healthier\, more engaged lives. \nHow to join the meeting in person\nAll meetings are open to the public. All scheduled items will be heard at the DAAS-PG East Valley Region/Administration office located at 784 E. Hospitality Ln.\, San Bernardino. \nHow to join the meeting by interactive video for Public Comment\nAlternate locations for the public to address the Commission by interactive video for Public Comment are offered as a courtesy and may be closed due to inclement weather\, if technology fails\, or another unforeseen emergency.
