Performs a variety of secretarial duties and administrative tasks for Executive Leadership. Prepares written correspondence, reports, travel arrangements and calendaring. Makes appointments, maintains files and completes other office tasks as directed.

Performs clerical work in support of DAAS-PG. Collects, enters, and processes information. Prepares written documents and performs a variety of office tasks.

Arranges for custodial care and administers estates and/or trusts of gravely disabled or other incompetent persons assigned to the Office of the Public Guardian by the courts. Serves as a conservator of property and financial assets and coordinates legal or social services on behalf of conservatees.

Responsible for the retrieval, storage and safekeeping of personal property of estates administered by the Public Guardian’s or Public Administrator’s Office. Assists with identifying, inventorying, transporting, and securing property of Public Guardian or Public Administrator estates.

A Mental Health Program Manager I manages a major program component of the Office of the Public Guardian and assists in planning, organizing and directing the delivery of services throughout the county. The Mental Health Program Manager II reports to a Deputy Director and is responsible for administering, implementing and maintaining all direct services through the Office of the Public Guardian. 

Functions as a resource for Deputy Public Guardians, and other Public Guardian staff, ensuring conservatees receive benefits to which they are entitled. Researches, identifies, applies for, and ensures the maintenance for medical, financial, social services, and other benefits for conservatees assigned to the Office of the Public Guardian by the courts.

Serves as a lead worker by training and mentoring Deputy Public Guardians and assists Supervising Deputy Public Guardians with supervisory functions.

Organizes and supervises the work of a unit responsible for the administration of public guardian and conservator estates and/or trusts.

Organizes and supervises the work of a unit responsible for providing information and referrals to social service resources through the Senior Information and Assistance program.

Assists adults aged 55 and older by providing information and referrals to social service resources. Provides assistance by telephone and in-person in the office and at community outreach events.

Performs a variety of functions to assist in the delivery of social service programs.

Investigates abuse, neglect and endangerment allegations to substantiate charges and assess service needs. Performs specialized casework involving diagnosis, assessment, intervention and case management support for adults aged 60 and older and individuals with disabilities aged 18-59.

Provides initial or annual assessment of an individual’s eligibility for In-Home Supportive services. Assists in developing social service resources to enhance individuals’ capacity for social functioning.
