Senior Affairs Commission (SAC) – Access Standing Committee Meeting

The Access Committee is a standing committee of the San Bernardino County Senior Affairs Commission (SAC). The committee plays a key role in identifying and addressing access-related issues that affect older adults and individuals with disabilities—such as transportation, housing, and public accommodations.

Committee members meet regularly to:

• Advise the SAC, DAAS-PG, and other partners on access and inclusion concerns
• Recommend new projects and improvements to existing services that promote accessibility
• Advocate for solutions to community-raised issues related to housing, transportation, and equal access
• Refer access-related concerns to the appropriate County departments or regulatory agencies
• Participate in local and regional transportation meetings to advocate for inclusive, compliant services for all

Through its efforts, the Access Committee works to remove barriers and promote equitable access to services that help older adults live safely and independently in their communities.

How to join the meeting in person

All meetings are open to the public. All scheduled items will be heard at the DAAS-PG East Valley Region/Administration office located at 784 E. Hospitality Ln., San Bernardino.

Alternate locations for the public to address the Commission by interactive video for Public Comment are offered as a courtesy and may be closed due to inclement weather, if technology fails, or another unforeseen emergency. If the sites are closed, a notice will be posted by 9 a.m. the day of the meeting whenever feasible.
