Senior Affairs Commission (SAC) – Executive Standing Committee Meeting

The Executive Committee is a standing committee of the San Bernardino County Senior Affairs Commission (SAC). It plays a key leadership role in guiding the work of the Commission and supporting communication between the Department of Aging and Adult Services – Public Guardian (DAAS-PG), the Commission, and the County’s older adult community.

The committee meets regularly to:

• Review and approve the agenda for each Senior Affairs Commission General Session
• Recommend the formation of ad hoc sub-committees as needed
• Strategize recruitment for SAC vacancies and engagement of Regional Councils on Aging
• Monitor the progress of goals and objectives set by other SAC committees
• Serve as a space for committee chairs to collaborate, share updates, and strengthen community engagement, including participation in and coordination of resource fairs

By coordinating efforts across the Commission and supporting effective communication, the Executive Committee helps ensure that the needs and priorities of San Bernardino County’s older adults are addressed efficiently and thoughtfully.

All meetings are open to the public. All scheduled items will be heard at the DAAS-PG East Valley Region/Administration office located at 784 E. Hospitality Ln., San Bernardino.

Alternate locations for the public to address the Commission by interactive video for Public Comment are offered as a courtesy and may be closed due to inclement weather, if technology fails, or another unforeseen emergency. If the sites are closed, a notice will be posted by 9 a.m. the day of the meeting whenever feasible.
