The San Bernardino County Senior Affairs Commission (SAC) is an advisory body that meets regularly to provide guidance to the Department of Aging and Adult Services – Public Guardian (DAAS-PG) on policies, programs, and services that support older adults across the county.
The Commission plays a key role in identifying community needs and helping shape services that improve the quality of life for older adults and individuals with disabilities.
During its General Session meetings, the Commission brings together DAAS-PG staff, community stakeholders, and the public to discuss current issues affecting older adults and individuals with disabilities —locally and statewide. These meetings provide a space for collaboration, information-sharing, and advocacy.
All meetings are open to the public. All scheduled items will be heard at the DAAS-PG East Valley Region/Administration office located at 784 E. Hospitality Ln., San Bernardino.
Alternate locations for the public to address the Commission by interactive video for Public Comment are offered as a courtesy and may be closed due to inclement weather, if technology fails, or another unforeseen emergency. If the sites are closed, a notice will be posted by 9 a.m. the day of the meeting whenever feasible.
As part of an ongoing commitment to improved public access, all meetings are live-streamed as a courtesy by the San Bernardino County Senior Affairs Commission and the Department of Aging and Adult Services-Public Guardian. Viewers cannot make a public comment or interact with the meeting in progress using this method.
