November marks National Caregivers Month, a time to recognize and honor caregivers nationally, raise awareness around caregiving issues, educate communities, and work to increase support for our nation’s caregivers.
National Native American Heritage Month, celebrated each year in November, is a time to celebrate the traditions, languages and stories of Native American and Alaska Native communities.
During its General Session meetings, the Commission brings together DAAS-PG staff, community stakeholders, and the public to discuss current issues affecting older adults and individuals with disabilities —locally and statewide.
By coordinating efforts across the Commission and supporting effective communication, the Executive Committee helps ensure that the needs and priorities of San Bernardino County’s older adults are addressed efficiently and thoughtfully.
By staying involved and informed, the Nutrition Committee helps ensure older adults in San Bernardino County receive high-quality, nutritious meals in a respectful and supportive environment.
By fostering collaboration and raising awareness, the Healthy Aging Committee works to support older adults in living healthier, more engaged lives.
Through collaboration and advocacy, the Intergenerational Committee works to strengthen the connections between generations and improve the quality of life for all involved.
