From blizzards to heat waves, there are a variety of extreme weather events that can impact residents throughout San Bernardino County. The following resources can help you and your family prepare for and respond to an extreme weather event.
Urgent assistance
Excessive weather exposure can result in illness or death. If you need emergency medical services, call 911 immediately!
Adult Protective Services (APS) is a program available 24/7 to investigate situations involving older adults (60 years and older) and dependent adults (aged18-59 who are physically and/or mentally impaired) if they are believed to be in danger due to physical, sexual, financial abuse, isolation, neglect, self-neglect, or at risk of homelessness. To report suspected abuse or neglect, please call the APS hotline at (877) 565-2020, 24-hours a day, 7-days a week, 365-days per year.
Information and referrals
Senior Information and Assistance provides information and referrals to government and non-profit agencies. Please call (800) 510-2020, Monday through Friday, 8 a.m. to 5 p.m.
Inland SoCal 211 is a hotline and resource directory that connects people to essential community services and assistance programs, such as housing, food, healthcare, and utilities. Please call 211 or visit https://inlandsocaluw.org/211.
